Hon Kalu Mba Nwoke threw the challenge while speaking with LEADERSHIP Friday, yesterday, in Umuahia, the state capital against the backdrop of criticisms by the members against the Otti-led present administration.

The legislator, who said he is deeply surprised that “the very people, who held the state to ransom for 24 years of failure could have the mind to criticise this administration.” He described them as “mere attention seekers”.

The member representing Ohafia South state constituency noted that within the past two years, “Otti’s Labour Party administration has convincingly out performed, if any, what they could not do in the 24 years”.

He argued that unless the members pretend not to see what the governor has been doing since his first day in office, they have no reason to criticise the administration.

“When they criticize the administration, I wonder, whether they’re talking to the same people who they impoverished for almost a quarter of a century or a new set of people, who just emerged in the state,” he added.

He expressed delight that the people have “seen the light and followed it ” and advised the members to be mindful of their words before voicing them out “or continue to embarrass themselves.”

The chairman, who used the forum to urge the governor to remain focused on his resolve to change the state’s narrative, assured him of the continued loyalty and support of the constituency.
