Serial entrepreneur and tech visionary, Seun Dania, alongside his company, Alpha-Geek Technologies, emerged among the standout honourees at the Africa’s Beacon of ICT (ABoICT) Merit and Leadership Awards 2025 and the Top 50 Most Valuable Personalities (MVP) in Nigeria’s Digital Economy awards.

At the ABoICT 2025 Awards held on Saturday, Dania was named Entrepreneur of the Year, cementing his reputation as one of Nigeria’s leading drivers of digital transformation. In a double win, his company, Alpha-Geek Technologies, received the Excellence Award for Innovative IT Solutions Provider, a category that celebrates organisations creating impactful technology-driven solutions for Nigeria’s digital ecosystem.

Earlier in the week, Dania was also listed among the Top 50 Most Valuable Personalities in Nigeria’s Digital Economy, a coveted honour compiled annually by Knowhow Media & Market Intelligence (KMMI). The MVP list celebrates individuals who have demonstrated exceptional vision, innovation, resilience, and leadership within Nigeria’s fast-evolving digital economy.

In a brief statement following the accolades, Dania expressed deep appreciation. “I am incredibly humbled and grateful for these recognitions. They are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Alpha-Geek team and our commitment to driving innovation and growth within Nigeria’s digital space,” he said.

The organisers of the ABoICT Awards, Communication Week Media Limited, praised Alpha-Geek Technologies for its role in advancing local tech innovation and making tangible contributions to the growth of Nigeria’s ICT sector.

According to the citation, Alpha-Geek has distinguished itself through a portfolio of solutions that address critical gaps in business and consumer technology — from enterprise software development to digital infrastructure solutions tailored for African markets.

Meanwhile, Dania’s personal journey and investments across sectors such as technology, agriculture, oil and gas, entertainment, civil society, and corporate social responsibility were also highlighted. His multi-sectoral footprint, the organisers noted, exemplifies the dynamic potential of digital economy leadership in Nigeria and across Africa.

With digital technology increasingly positioned at the heart of Nigeria’s economic transformation, the dual honours reaffirm Dania’s growing influence as both a business leader and a nation-build

Industry stakeholders and guests at the ABoICT 2025 ceremony noted that the recognitions point to a broader shift, one where indigenous companies like Alpha-Geek are not only innovating but are also setting benchmarks for excellence, creativity, and societal impact.
