Suspected cultists on Sunday night shot and killed a yet-to-be-identified taxi driver at Mile Two area of Diobu in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

Recall that factions within a popular cult group, Deygbam, have been battling for supremacy in the Diobu axis of Port Harcourt which has led to the death of no fewer than three persons in the past three weeks.

It was gathered that the taxi driver was killed during a shoot out between suspected factions of the cult group along Illabouchi Street in the Mile Two area of Diobu.

It was also gathered that the corpse of the taxi driver was later retrieved by police operatives from Azikiwe Police Division, Mile 2 Diobu, PortHarcourt, who took the deceased to the station.
