The initiative is in line with the broader goals of both the federal and state governments to transition towards environmentally friendly and economically viable energy solutions.

The handover ceremony was conducted at the project site with key government officials in attendance.

These included the Honourable Commissioner for Lands and Physical Planning, Dr. Faisal Umar Kaita; the representative of the Special Adviser on Power and Energy, Dr. Hafiz Ibrahim Ahmed; and the Economic Adviser to the State Government, Hon. Khalil Nura Khalil.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Kaita emphasized the state’s commitment to advancing green energy infrastructure and reducing reliance on traditional fuel sources.

He noted that the project aligns with the administration’s broader agenda of industrial development and economic empowerment.

“The establishment of this CNG facility is a major milestone that reflects our vision for a cleaner, more sustainable Katsina,” Dr. Kaita said.

The CNG service station and conversion workshop are expected to bring multiple benefits to the state, including job creation, reduced carbon emissions, lower transportation costs, and the development of technical expertise among residents.

As fuel prices continue to rise nationwide, the shift to CNG offers a timely and cost-effective alternative for motorists and transport operators.

The Katsina State Government reaffirmed its commitment to supporting green innovation, industrial growth, and a sustainable future for its people.
