The special adviser on Media to Kogi State governor, Ismaila Isah, said Governor Usman Ododo’s emergence is timely and instrumental in driving key progress across the state.

Isah made this known yesterday during an interactive session with members of the Federated Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kogi State Council.

“Governor Ododo came at the right time to consolidate on the achievements of the immediate past administration. He quietly assumed office and began delivering results that are already improving the lives of our people,” Isah said.

He emphasised the ongoing infrastructural projects across the three senatorial districts, describing the administration as fair, transparent, and inclusive.

Isah further stated that the governor has promoted unity by appointing individuals from different backgrounds, including non-indigenes, into key positions in government.

“This Governor has created opportunities for even non-indigenes to have a sense of belonging. Across all three senatorial districts, there are appointees in this administration who are not originally from Kogi State,” he said.

He also stressed the administration’s commitment to accountability, adding that financial leakages have been blocked, allowing public funds to be directed toward meaningful projects.

“The government of Kogi State under Governor Usman Ododo has zero tolerance for corruption. State resources are now being directed towards projects that truly benefit the people,” he added.
Isah cited road construction, rehabilitation of schools, and improvements in healthcare as evidence of the government’s development agenda, with a renewed focus on human capital, education, and health.

He described Governor Ododo as a humble and responsive leader who listens and engages with stakeholders for the progress of the state.

Isah also commended journalists for their continued support and acknowledged the enabling environment created by the administration for media practitioners.

He further disclosed that LugardTV, an online television platform created under his office, would mark its first anniversary on July 18.
