The group, in a statement signed by its chairman and former governor of Niger State, Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu, called on all Nigerians to continue to embrace principles of brotherliness, care for the needy, and the underprivileged.

“The fundamentals of sacrifice to God and love for humanity that it embodies is one of the cardinal templates of practice for laying a foundation for sacrifice, national growth and unity in a nation like ours.

“The national celebration which cut across all tribes in Nigeria, where muslim and non muslims are, reminds us of our oneness and togetherness as a nation. It is, therefore, an opportunity for us to appreciate and celebrate with one another, as a people bounded in love and togetherness.

“We equally use this opportunity to call on all Nigerians to continue to embrace principles of brotherliness, care for the needy, and the underprivileged that it equally symbolise, and continue to pray for peaceful coexistence and great future for our nation.

“May our sacrifices be accepted by Allah.

May the blessings of Ed-el-Kabir fill the heart of Nigerians with peace, joy and prosperity. We wish all a joyful Eid-el-Kabir filled with love, happiness and countless blessings,” former Governor Aliyu stated.
