Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, has felicitated with Muslims in the state and beyond for the spiritual renewal that the celebration of the Eid-el-Kabir offers and called for a deep reflection of the way their faith in Allah can overcome challenges and create a path for lifelong benefits.
He commended the Muslims for the confidence reposed in his administration in the face of challenges with the promise to reward their sacrifices with further good governance deliveries.
The Governor who recognises the value for sacrifices and devotion which Allah conveyed to mankind through Prophet Ibrahim (ASW) and his son, Prophet Ismail (ASW), tasked the Muslim faithful to use this sacred moment to renew their commitment to help those in distress and support efforts that elevates community development.
Also in his Salah message, the Asiwaju Musulumi of Southwest, Edo, Delta State, Chief Khamis Tunde Badmus charged President Bola Tinubu and governors across the region to adhere to and keep the promises they made to the electorate while canvassing for their votes.
Speaking with journalists after observing prayers at the Osogbo central Eid prayer ground on Friday, the Islamic scholar noted that Eid-el-Kabir celebration revolves around redeeming pledges as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim to God.
He harped on the fact that when governments at various levels deliver on the promises they made while in need, life would be better for the teeming populace, adding that delivered promises attract rewards from Almighty Allah.
