“We commend the Commission’s developmental role in the Niger Delta region, transforming lives and promoting sustainable development,” IAWPA’s International Spokesman, Amb Emmanuel Nkweke, said in a statement made available by its Media Director, Amb. Nwokoma Messiah.

The global peace advocacy group with special Consultative Status under the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations (UN) since 2019, commended the interventionist Commission under Dr. Samuel Ogbuku’s leadership as the managing director (MD).

“IAWPA particularly commends the current Managing Director of the NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, for the transformative strides he has brought to the Commission. His leadership has ushered in a new era of development, innovation, and progress in the region.”

IAWPA further stated that NDDC’s 25th anniversary celebration which will be marked by the launch of the Niger Delta Sports Festival and a free medical outreach programme, demonstrated the Commission’s commitment to promoting development, health, and well-being in the region. IAWPA saluted the Commission’s efforts and looks forward to a continued collaboration.
