Papyrus Magazine has announced plans to host the fifth edition of its Most Outstanding Lawmakers Award (PAMOLAA), a prestigious event celebrating exceptional performance in Nigeria’s federal legislature.
The awards ceremony is set for September 2025 at the Abuja Continental Hotel.
The 2025 PAMOLAA will spotlight members of the National Assembly who have distinguished themselves through impactful representation, constituency development, legislative achievements, and vibrant contributions on the floor.
According to the organisers, the selection process includes collaboration with the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), National Assembly journalists, and constituency opinion polls to ensure a transparent and credible evaluation.
Over the years, PAMOLAA has honoured several distinguished lawmakers, including former Senate Presidents Bukola Saraki and Ahmed Lawan, Senators Rochas Okorocha, George Thompson Sekibo, and Chris Anyanwu, and Rt Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, Rt Hon Nnenna Ukeje, and others who have left a mark on Nigeria’s legislative and democratic landscape.
This year’s event promises a blend of glamour and prestige, with award presentations by top dignitaries, live music and comedy performances, and a fashion showcase. Nominees will be featured in a special edition of The Papyrus Magazine, although participation in the editorial is optional.
Founder of Papyrus Global, Hon Chief Doofan Justin Damsa, said the performance evaluation of prospective awardees is still ongoing, and winners will be announced upon conclusion of the review process.
As anticipation grows, all eyes are on who will emerge as the Most Outstanding Lawmakers of Nigeria’s 10th National Assembly.
