The celebrations, she pointed out,  will hold at the same period in Ibadan; Abuja; Port Harcourt and Kano, adding that, the insurance industry will leverage the event to reward Nigerians by giving awards to people who have been promoting insurance culture, while the general public would be giving beautiful packages during the awareness campaigns.

Saying the event’s Mascot is christened, Niko, she noted that, the one week event would help in making insurance accessible to Nigerians, stressing that, the event would be held yearly.

Chairman of the Insurance Week Organising Committee, Eddie Efekoha, applauded  Ilori for the laudable and transformative event initiated by her administration and implored all stakeholders in the insurance industry value chain to support the initiative that is aimed at growing insurance business and depending penetration.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Corporate Affairs Managers of Nigeria Insurance Association (CAMCONIA),  Segun Bankole has called on his colleagues nationwide to be actively involved through their individual companies in the forthcoming maiden edition of the Insurance Week which kicks off on June 27 through July 4, 2025.
