Natural Beauty Secrets (NBS), a non-governmental organisation, has extended support to 350 vulnerable women and widows in Kaura local government area of Kaduna State to cushion the effects of economic hardship.

The outreach, which took place on Friday in Manchok, saw the distribution of various empowerment and relief items to beneficiaries drawn from different communities within the LGA.

The organisation’s founder, Barrister Catherine Bitrus Moroa, said the initiative was inspired by her commitment to giving back to her roots.

She emphasised women’s vital role in sustaining communities and reaffirmed her organisation’s dedication to maintaining the programme.

“This is just the beginning. We plan to make this a continuous effort. I also urge other well-meaning sons and daughters of Kaura to join in supporting those in need,” she said.

The event also had the Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Barrister James Kanyip, who praised the initiative as a commendable act of compassion in attendance.

“Giving to the less privileged uplifts lives and draws divine blessings. I encourage others to emulate this noble gesture, especially now that many struggle to survive,” Kanyip stated.

Some outreach beneficiaries, including Mrs. Josephine Bature from Takad and Mrs. Janet Bonet from Kagoro, expressed heartfelt appreciation to Barrister Moroa and promised to utilise the items effectively.

They also pledged to share the impact of the gesture by supporting others in their communities.

Items distributed included grinding machines, assorted food items, and other relief materials to enhance the recipients’ livelihoods and ensure food security.
