The medical director of Nizamiye Hospital, Abuja, Professor Ibrahim Yanmis, has said that the hospital’s primary focus is on saving lives and providing quality healthcare, not making a profit.
During a television interview monitored in Abuja, Prof. Yanmis said the hospital has a long-standing policy of supporting individuals in critical medical need, regardless of their financial situation.
He said, “We believe everyone deserves quality medical care. Our goal is to improve every year because medicine evolves daily. It is difficult, but we invest heavily in skilled doctors and modern equipment.”
According to him, the hospital has served Federal Capital Territory (FCT) residents for over 10 years, with increased attention to cardiac surgery, neonatal care, and emergency operations.
He revealed that Nizamiye has three international cardiologists on full-time duty, providing round-the-clock service.
He also disclosed that the hospital is bringing in a renowned Spanish cardiovascular surgeon to enhance its capacity further.
“We want Nigerians to get world-class medical care here at home.
With high-quality personnel and equipment, patients will no longer need to travel abroad for treatment,” he stated.
