Premium Times Services Limited is set to host the maiden edition of its employability summit, which aims to rally stakeholders to address the pressing issue of youth unemployment in Nigeria.

The summit, which will bring together experts, policymakers, and other key stakeholders to discuss innovative solutions and strategies for tackling this critical challenge, is scheduled for Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The landmark event is part of the organisation’s broader commitment to shaping meaningful solutions to Nigeria’s employment crisis, particularly among the country’s burgeoning youth population.

With the theme “Converting Nigeria’s Demography into Assets,” the summit seeks to move conversations into concrete action by convening thought leaders, industry experts, policymakers, and development professionals under one roof.

The organisers said the goal is to harness Nigeria’s demographic advantage and youthful population by addressing structural challenges and exploring opportunities that can lead to sustainable employment pathways.

Throughout the one-day event, participants will engage in a rich exchange of ideas through keynote addresses, plenary sessions, fireside chats, and panel discussions.

The summit’s agenda will focus on critical themes such as skills development, vocational training, entrepreneurship, digital innovation, and workforce readiness.

A distinguished lineup of speakers and panelists will anchor these conversations, bringing their expertise and insights to bear on Nigeria’s most pressing employment issues.

Among them are Niyi Yusuf, Chairman of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group; Ziad Maalouf, Managing Director of 7Up Bottling Company; and Uyi Akpata, immediate past Country Senior Partner at PwC Nigeria. Others include Michael Ikpoki, CEO of Africa Context Advisory Partners; Esiri Agbeyi, Partner and Africa Family Business Leader at PwC; and Obi Asika, Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture.

Additional speakers such as Toyosi Akerele-Ogunsiji of Rise Networks, Oludare Odusanya of the British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation, and Lara Yeku of Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc will contribute diverse perspectives across sectors. From academia to corporate HR, development finance to the creative industries, the summit promises a multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving.
