A group known as Igbo Arise For Tinubu/Shettima has stated that so many important decisions taken so far by the administration of Bola Tinubu are difficult, but would bring sustainable development to Nigeria.

The group also endorsed the re-election of Tinubu/Shettima ticket come 2027.

The group noted that the policies that were avoided by successive regimes before now would surely put the nation back on the path of sustainable development.

It described President Bola Tinubu’s administration as the best since the inception of democracy in Nigeria in 1999.

The group’s national coordinator, Comrade Michael Iroakazi, stated this at a World Press Conference yesterday in Enugu.

“This administration is arguably the best administration that has governed Nigeria since the inception of democracy in Nigeria from 1999. This is because so many important decisions have been taken by this administration, though they are difficult ones, which were avoided by successive regimes before now but will surely put the Nation back on the path of sustainable

“It is true that this administration removed fuel subsidy, which has considerably made fuel prices to go high. It is also true that this administration went to the Supreme Court and got a ruling, which has empowered the local governments in Nigeria to be autonomous. It is equally true that there is a tax reform debate going on at the National Assembly at the moment, these are difficult policies, which can be taken by a government that has political will, and is ready to make difficult decisions as long as they will take the fabric of democratic governance to an enviable height, and remain sustained over time,” he maintained.

Iroakazi further pointed out that if these decisions were taken two or three decades ago, Nigeria would have gone beyond its initial cleavages, which in academics can sustainably be defined as the cost of development.

He stressed the need for people to know that the present government’s vision will go a long way in pulling this nation out of poverty and into a sustainable and enviable development that will make Nigeria the real giant of Africa.

The group’s coordinator added that in a few years, Nigeria would be very high on the comparative developmental ladder in international politics.

“The good thing is that the Igbo person is a survivor, our doggedness is unparalleled all over the world, the only thing we require is social justice and a level playing ground. They say we are traders, we are not denying it, but the truth remains that in any economy, what we buy, and how we bought it is how we will sell.

“The political space is beginning to be awash with different political activities, movements, alignments and re-alignments, we the leadership of Igbo Arise for Tinubu/Shettima, after carefully considering the prospects and valid projection of the 2027 General Election, have decided to once more, come out strongly, and endorse the re-election of the President,” he stated.
