Abia State chapter of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has filed a suit at the Federal High Court in Umuahia challenging the legality of Emeka Rallas as president of the guild and the national executive committee.

The chapter’s special project coordinator, Nathaniel Woko, disclosed this yesterday while speaking to newsmen in Umuahia.

In the suit marked (FHC/UM/CS/92/2025, the chapter led by the May 2023 elected executive committee of David Amalaha, alleged that Rollas and his national executive committee “emerged in an illegality”.
Woko explained that this was because Rollas and the committee were elected by a Board of Trustees (BoT) of the AGN whose tenure had earlier expired.

He said: “We want the court to determine the legality or otherwise of the AGN national executive committee as currently constituted and led by Emeka Rollas as president.

“Their tenure was ended by a Lagos Federal High Court in Suit No FHC/L734/13 between St. Maradonna Mikevine Johnson and the Incorporated Trustees of AGN and Ibinabo Fiberesima.”

Appearing with the public relations officer, Chukwurmeka Onyekwere, Woko noted that based on the above facts, the chapter wanted the court to look into the matter dispassionately.

He accused Rollas of meddling and interfering with the running of the chapter by suspending the chairman.
