The prestigious title of ‘Basorun Akinjagunla’ of Ogidi community in Kogi State has been conferred on a businessman and philanthropist, Asiwaju Prince Olatunji Olusoji, who is the Asiwaju of Ayere Kingdom, in a colorful ceremony held during the community’s annual Cultural Day celebration on Saturday.

The newly installed ‘Basorun Akinjagunla’ expressed his gratitude to the traditional ruler of Ogidi and the entire community, stating, “My entire life is a testimony. I am a Crown Prince of my community, and I know what this honour means to me and my people. Ogidi community has not been seeing me physically, but they have been seeing my hands.”

He went on to say, “I do not have any reason but to oblige to accept this title. I know what it feels to be underprivileged and I want to live a life of legacy. I don’t want to be remembered for the number of cars that I buy nor the houses that I build but for the impact that I have made.”
