The Head of the Federation’s Civil Service, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, has called on State Heads of Service to intensify efforts in implementing critical reforms as the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP 2021-2025) enters its final phase.

Speaking at the opening of a two-day study tour for state heads of service in Abuja on Monday, Walson-Jack described 2025 as the ‘Year of Accomplishment,’ urging civil service leaders to prioritise tangible results for Nigerians.

“We are here not to compete but to compete. A sprint demands speed, precision, stamina, and resolve. Let 2025 truly be the year when Nigerians see evidence of our progress in service delivery, digitalisation, and workforce motivation,” she said.

The study tour, a follow-up to an earlier learning visit to Singapore, aims to deepen knowledge of best practices in governance, digital transformation, and human capital management.
Participants will engage in sessions and site visits to key federal institutions to strengthen intergovernmental synergy under the theme, “One Service, Many Jurisdictions, One Vision.”

Walson-Jack reaffirmed her office’s support: “If you require policy direction, training, or technical collaboration, know that my office stands ready. We succeed together or not at all.”
She challenged the leaders to ask bold questions, challenge old assumptions, and return with actionable plans, stressing that change travels fastest when leaders light the way.
