On Monday, the Corps Commandant, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, parading the suspect and 31 other suspected criminals at the Corps’ headquarters in Akure, the state capital, said the prime suspect had confessed to the crime.

According to Adeleye, “The prime suspects of the killing of a ward chairman in Ose had been arrested; he had confessed.”

Adeleye disclosed that the suspect had taken the operatives of the corps back into the forest, where his men retrieved some of the items they had taken from the family of the victim.
