Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany has expressed optimism as his side gears up to face Paris Saint-Germain in the quarter-finals of the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup (CWC) on Saturday. This follows Bayern’s impressive 4-2 victory over Flamengo in the Round of 16 on Sunday.

Harry Kane starred for Bayern with a brace, while Leon Goretzka and an own goal from Erick Pulgar also contributed to the triumph. The Bundesliga champions are now set to take on the French Ligue 1 champions in the last-eight of the competition next weekend.

PSG secured their place in the quarter-finals by eliminating Inter Miami, led by Lionel Messi, with a resounding 4-0 victory.

In his post-match interview, Kompany assured fans that the team will be adequately prepared for the challenge posed by PSG. “We will assess what we need for that game [against PSG],” he stated. “Right now, the most important thing is to rest and rebuild our energy. Two top teams on a big stage, we will be ready for it,” he concluded.
