“Your sterling achievements in the Nigerian Navy and your contributions to national development resonate deeply with the values we hold in Akwa Ibom.

“Today we celebrate not only your professional distinction, but your unwavering commitment to the growth and development of your people.

“This special intervention project facilitated through your honour and influence will bring a lasting legacy that will transform the educational experience of countless children in our communities because it represents hope, access and opportunity which are the core pillars of Akwa Ibom.

“May this achievement inspire others to serve selflessly and uplift their roots. We are proud of you, Sir. Nsit Atai is proud of you. Akwa Ibom is proud of you,” the governor enthused.

Responding, CNS, who was represented by Rear Admiral Saheed Akinwande, the Flag Officer Commanding (FOC), Eastern Naval Command, recalled that the special intervention quick impact project scheme was launched in 2024.

He noted that the scheme has further reinforced the Nigerian Navy’s civil-military cooperation mandate and contributed to the Renewed Hope Agenda (RHA) of the President Bola Tinubu-led federal government.

These projects are avenues for the Nigerian Navy to honour its accomplished senior officers and an indication that beyond physically securing life and property, we are committed to serving the interest of Nigerians in other ways.

“Today’s commissioning of the CNS special intervention quick impact project undertaking by an illustrious son of Ibedu-Idikpa community, another water shed in the Nigerian Navy’s Civil Military Cooperation anal,” he explained.

Ogalla urged the senior officers to initiate more humanitarian services to their communities to enhance quality of life, adding that such gestures would certainly not cause the senior officer and indeed the Nigerian Navy to be forgotten in a hurry.

In his remarks, Rear Admiral Akpan, explained that the scheme “is an avenue for the Navy to contribute to the development of selected communities in order to enhance overall national security and development.”
