Kanu stated this while speaking during an Art Exhibition organised by Delaroke Art Gallery at The Crib Lifestyle Hotel, Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, to mark Nigeria’s 62nd independence anniversary.

She said the art exhibition, which included the “Aba Women Riot”, was important in order to re-enact histories through arts.

The curator said: “The display of such skills can make Nigerians happy despite the depressing economy.

“There are plethora of impacts of this, hence people need to start stepping up about arts. This also has great economic value. Once we start the conversation on why it is important to acquire arts, then the people will start getting interested and this will boost the economy.
