A Kogi State-based activist, Prince Seidu Ademu, popularly known as Cartoon Boy TV, has called on Nigerians to remain steadfast in their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the country heads towards the 2027 general elections.
In a passionate appeal during a press interview in Abuja, Cartoon Boy TV criticised what he described as an emerging coalition of “old looters” attempting to regroup against the current administration.
“These are the same people that looted Nigeria into poverty,” he stated. “The coalition they’re forming is just a tool to return to their looting system.”
He defended the controversial removal of the fuel subsidy, asserting that it was a necessary reform long delayed by previous governments.
“We have been living a fake life in Nigeria,” he said. “They claimed to be paying subsidies, but that money was being looted. Today, there is no subsidy money to steal, so they are regrouping to fight the system that exposed them.”
The activist lauded President Tinubu’s economic direction, particularly efforts to revitalise Nigeria’s refining capacity.
He cited the reactivation of Port Harcourt, Warri, and Dangote refineries as a turning point, alongside government support for private investment in the downstream sector.
“Competition is coming to the oil market,” he said. “Just like SIM cards became affordable when more companies came in, fuel prices will drop when the market opens. I believe Nigerians will buy fuel for ₦100 to ₦150 in the future.”
Cartoon Boy TV also highlighted fiscal improvements and social initiatives he believes are the result of Tinubu’s leadership.
Among them, he noted the end of borrowing for salary payments, an increase in foreign reserves, the rollout of student loans, free technical education with stipends, and nationwide youth empowerment programmes.
Turning his criticism towards the opposition, he questioned the track records of those forming new alliances against the president.
“Where is the achievement of those calling for coalition? Go to their states — insecurity, bad roads, no development. What did they do with power when they had it?”
He singled out former Anambra State governor Peter Obi, accusing him of failing to uphold democratic principles during his tenure.
“You were governor for 8 years and didn’t conduct local government elections. Where did all the local government funds go?” he asked.
He further praised President Tinubu’s efforts to enforce local government autonomy, noting that it would ensure grassroots development.
Concluding his remarks, the activist warned Nigerians not to forget the past or fall for political manipulation.
“These people looted our future. They are billionaires in dollars while our parents suffer,” he said. “President Tinubu is trying to fix what they destroyed, and they hate him for it.”
He urged continued national support for the administration to realise a reformed and self-sufficient Nigeria.
