Loyalists of former Osun State governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, popularly called Omoluabi Progressives, have said their principals’ emergence as the interim National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will boost their stance ahead of the governorship election in Osun State.

The supporters, in the early hours of Wednesday, thronged the premises of their office in the state, singing and dancing in celebration of their leader’s new appointment.

Chairman of Omoluabi Progressives, Alhaji Isaa Adesiji Azeez, congratulated the people of Osun State and Nigeria on the emergence of Aregbesola as ADC National Secretary and noted that their illustrious son has been found worthy of the frontline status.

A statement by the publicity and organising secretary of Omoluabi Progressives, Abosede Busayo Oluwaseun, said Aregbesola’s new position marks a new chapter in the journey toward a more people-centered, accountable, and visionary political leadership in Nigeria.

He added, “We believe that Ogbeni Aregbesola’s wealth of experience, proven dedication to progressive ideals, and tireless service to the people will bring renewed energy and direction to the ADC at the national level.”

Azeez called on all Nigerians to come on board, get organised, and prepare to vote in a new leadership that will uplift Osun State and improve the lives of all Nigerians.

He urged those yet to register as voters in Osun to take advantage of the upcoming registration window created by INEC.

“Together, we can build a better, more prosperous nation rooted in justice, equity, and true democratic values,” he concluded.
