While noting that his administration was fully committed to ensuring that every resident of Sokoto State has access to safe drinking water, the governor added that “as soon as we commission this scheme, we would continue to monitor the remaining 4 projects to ensure that they are completed and commissioned in due course.”

Listing the roads, Governor Ahmed said, “The roads being commissioned today are the Chima-Rai Jumuat Mosque road to Mabera Roundabout, which cost the government the sum of N502,032,233.68. The Unguwar Rogo Police Station Junction to Mabera Roundabout, 1.32km at the cost of N729,810,436.30.

“The 800 meters Mabera Roundabout to Musa Lukuwa Jumu’at Mosque leading to the Eastern Bypass was awarded at the cost of N756,022,851.673. These are not just roads; they are lifelines as they represent access, mobility, safety and dignity for the people of Mabera.”
