The World Peoples Assembly will hold the First World Public Assembly (WOA) in Moscow, Russia, from September 20 to 21, 2025.

It is an international humanitarian forum bringing together leaders of public diplomacy, representatives of civil society and experts.

The World Assembly is dedicated to the International Day of Peace and will become a unique platform for dialogue aimed at shaping a sustainable, just and harmonious future. On September 21, the Public Recognition Award “For Service to Humanity” will be presented.

The programme taking place in Moscow will bring together 2,000 people from over 140 countries, among them prominent public figures, representatives of international intergovernmental and non—governmental organisations, including the UN, UNESCO, SCO, BRICS, ASEAN, CIS, EAEU, DRR and others.

Among the participants are politicians, diplomats, scientists, experts in the field of education, culture and sustainable development, youth leaders, athletes, cosmonauts, representatives of socially responsible businesses, traditional religious confessions and the world’s leading media.

Representatives of over 32 African countries and at least one African speaker will be participating at the event and will be in each panel included in the discussion.

The main theme of the World Assembly “New World of Conscious Unity”, will form the basis of the plenary session. The business programme will include seven panel sessions and more than 40 thematic platforms focused on the main areas: strategic partnership and public diplomacy, humanitarian modernisation: man as the center of the future, values of the new world, spiritual and cultural unity and service to values, responsibility as the foundation of the future.

The event will equally launch a new Grant Contest “Trust and Unity”, aimed at supporting projects in international humanitarian cooperation and public diplomacy. The deadline for the application is 30th of July. The link for Grant Contest “Trust and Unity” application is: https://worldpublicsummit.org/trust-and-unity

One of the central events of the World Assembly will be the ceremony of presenting the Public Recognition Award “For Service to Humanity” for the exceptional contribution to strengthening international peace, trust, humanitarian cooperation and service to humanity.

The World Peoples Assembly is an international union that unites non—governmental organisations and leaders of public diplomacy from over 60 countries. The main focus of the Assembly is to promote the formation of new contours of international partnership as a conscious unity of peoples, based on the principles of shared responsibility for the future, respect and preservation of the basic spiritual and moral values of humanity.

The founding Congress was held in May 2017 in Moscow, when the Eurasian Peoples Assembly was founded. In 2024, at the request of partners from African countries, the Assembly was renamed the Eurasian and African Peoples’ Assembly. In a unanimous decision by the Assembly members in May 2025, the organisation became the World Peoples Assembly.
