With over four decades of public service, his experience spans top administrative positions across the health and commerce sectors. He has also served as Chief Medical Director of both the Murtala Muhammad and Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Specialist Hospitals in the State.

A graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Dr. Sani holds MB, BS degrees and a diploma from Bayero University, Kano. He is also a member of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru.

In a related development, Governor Yusuf has also named retired Major General Mohammed Sani as the Director General, Special Services, Government House, Kano.
