The Kano State Council of Ulamas has called on residents of the state to attend a special prayer scheduled for Saturday to seek divine intervention for adequate rainfalls in the state.

Chairman of the Council, Sheikh Ibrahim Khalil, announced this in a statement, saying the decision was taken due to the inadequate rainfall being experienced this year, even when the rainy season has already progressed significantly.
