Late former President Buhari died on Sunday evening at a clinic in London, United Kingdom, while receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness.

Consequently, tributes have poured in for the late elder statesman from his political allies, former aides and followers, including President Bola Tinubu, former vice president Yemi Osinbajo, and State governors, among others.

Taking to his verified Facebook page on Sunday night, Bashir Ahmad, social media aide to former President Buhari, said his former principal will be buried in his native Duara town.

He wrote: “The remains of our former President, Muhammadu Buhari, will be laid to rest in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State. The date and time of the burial will be communicated accordingly.”
