Gombe State governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has approved the appointment of a fresh batch of senior special assistants (SSA II) and special assistants (SA I) in a renewed effort to deepen grassroots engagement.

The secretary to the Gombe State government (SSG), Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, announced the appointments yesterday. he said the appointments were with immediate effect.

In a press statement by the director-general of Press Affairs, Isma’il Uba Misilli, Njodi said the move is part of Governor Yahaya’s broader strategy to strengthen public service delivery and expand government presence across all sectors of the state.

According to the SSG, the newly appointed aides will support key focus areas such as political affairs, youth and women mobilisation, civil service matters, sustainable development goals (SDGs), special projects, and trade association coordination.

Njodi explained that the aides were selected based on their track records, loyalty, and capacity to contribute to the success of the administration’s developmental programmes.

The appointees include seasoned political actors and emerging grassroots mobilisers drawn from the state’s 11 local government areas.
