Gombe State governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has approved the appointment of a fresh batch of senior special assistants (SSA II) and special assistants (SA I) in a renewed effort to deepen grassroots engagement.
The secretary to the Gombe State government (SSG), Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, announced the appointments yesterday. he said the appointments were with immediate effect.
In a press statement by the director-general of Press Affairs, Isma’il Uba Misilli, Njodi said the move is part of Governor Yahaya’s broader strategy to strengthen public service delivery and expand government presence across all sectors of the state.
According to the SSG, the newly appointed aides will support key focus areas such as political affairs, youth and women mobilisation, civil service matters, sustainable development goals (SDGs), special projects, and trade association coordination.
Njodi explained that the aides were selected based on their track records, loyalty, and capacity to contribute to the success of the administration’s developmental programmes.
The appointees include seasoned political actors and emerging grassroots mobilisers drawn from the state’s 11 local government areas.

Senior Special Assistants II (SSA II): Bashir Tukur – SDGs, Alhaji Abdullahi Moh’d Umar (Ajiyan Pindiga) – Civil Service Matters, Engr. Dan Naphtali – Special Projects, Alh. Hamma (Legu) – Political, Inusa Dattijo (DJ Mai Tyre), Baba Sani Sakali, and Adamu Sulaiman (Wantos) – Youth Mobilisation and Coordination, GOSTEC.
Others include Murtala Yusuf Haruna (Maishahada), Auwal Abdullahi Moh’d (Mile 3), and Rilwanu Shehu Dukku – Youth Coordination, Musa Gidado (Musaji) and Alh. Uba Abdullahi – Trade Groups and Associations Coordination.
Aishatu Abdulkadir El-Rasheed and Victoria John Tabak – Women Mobilisation & Coordination, Sam Wabida, Muktari Tukur (Kanjirgi), Mohammed Ahmed (Seyoji Kunji), and Abdulrahim Kawu Peto – Political, also make the list.
Special Assistants I (SA I): Hajiya Kulu Suleiman, Haj. Abu Galadima Hinna, Miss Ruth Caleb, and Hassana Musa – Women Mobilisation, Abdullahi Kabo, Yahaya Abdullahi (West), Murtala Mohammed (Gambo Jetta), Osama Doma Isari, Isa Moh’d Badamasi (Nabarunde), Murtala Abubakar (Murrylor), Usman Moh’d Malala (Abbati), and Konon Adamu – Youth Mobilisation.
Governor Yahaya, while congratulating the new aides, expressed confidence in their abilities to contribute to the implementation of government programmes, urging them to justify the trust reposed in them.
