Arsenal are ready to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha in this summer’s transfer window.
Arteta’s side are keen to bolster their midfielder options following the departure of Jorginho and Thomas Partey from the club this summer.

However, according to German publication Bild, the Gunners have held ‘serious negotiations’ to bring Palhinha to the Emirates Stadium.

The report added that Arsenal have expressed a strong interest in Palhinha and there was ‘almost a major transfer’ before Bayern Munich got their 2025 Club World Cup campaign up and running.
Arsenal have been busy so far this summer transfer window, having signed the likes of Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Christian Norgaard.

The Premier League North London club are also working on deals for Cristhian Mosquera, Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke.

They are expected to finalize the deals in the coming days as they prepare to take on AC Milan in a pre-season friendly next Wednesday.
