Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, is on the verge of completing a permanent return to Galatasaray, after the Turkish champions reached an agreement with Napoli for his services.

Announcing the imminent deal on his X handle, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano wrote; “Galatasaray are closing in on Victor Osimhen deal, here we go soon!

“€40m immediate payment. €35m in one year. €5m add-ons based on goals.10% sell-on clause on future profit. Clause to avoid sale to Italian clubs next two years. Verbal agreement in place,” Romano wrote.

Osimhen enjoyed a prolific campaign during his loan spell at Galatasaray, netting 37 goals in 41 appearances across all competitions as the club secured the Turkish league title.

The Nigeria international had appeared destined for a move to Saudi Arabia, but he consistently rejected advances from Al-Hilal, following the end of his Turkish loan stint.

He was also linked with several Premier League clubs; however, the striker now looks set to make his return to Turkey permanent after Galatasaray’s successful negotiations with Napoli.

The two clubs are reportedly finalising the remaining details before Osimhen can be officially unveiled as a permanent member of the Galatasaray squad.
