The criminals were reported to have operated comfortably for more than three hours without any interception.

The general manager of the station, MomohJimoh Adeiza, told newsmen that they woke up to discover that the station had been attacked by criminals who took away their broadcast equipment.

“This is a major attack on the station. We are currently off the air right now because our equipment has been stolen by the criminals. When they came, they tied up our security man on duty to carry out their nefarious activities. Where do we go from here now?

“I am calling on security agencies to double their efforts in apprehending the criminals. I have communicated with our zonal director on this sad development,” he said.

“They were more than 10 armed criminals that attacked our station. They came around 1:00am this Saturday morning. When they pointed a torchlight at me, they immediately gripped me and tied me to a tree and blindfolded me.

“I could not scream because I was helpless. They operated for more than three hours before they left our station,” he stated.
