While presiding over the inauguration, Prof. Taslim Ayobami Hammed, chairman of the council, emphasised its commitment to institutional growth, academic excellence, and incorruptible management.

He maintained that the Visitation Panel was constituted to undertake a comprehensive review of the college’s academic, financial, administrative and governance frameworks in tandem with national education standards and quality assurance benchmarks.

The six-member panel, chaired by Dr. R.A. Adefabi, a seasoned educationist and former Provost of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, includes experts in higher education, finance, governance, law, and quality assurance.

The panel is expected to assess the College’s operations, investigate concerns raised by stakeholders, and make actionable recommendations that will elevate the institution’s performance and standing.

In his acceptance remarks, Dr. Adefabi assured stakeholders that the panel would carry out its responsibilities with utmost integrity, transparency, and professionalism.

He stated that the exercise was not a witch hunt but a developmental intervention to strengthen the College’s systems and enhance its capacity to deliver quality teacher education.

Other dignitaries present at the inauguration included the Proprietor of the College, Hon. Taofeek Olanihun, the Proprietress, Pharm. (Mrs.) Saudat Garba, some members of the Governing Council, principal officers, and friends of the institution.

In a goodwill message, Professor Rashid Aderinoye applauded the vision and philanthropic spirit of the College’s founder, Alhaji (Professor) Mufutau Ajadi Lanihun. He encouraged the panel to be thorough and purposeful in its assignment.

The visitation exercise is scheduled to last 21 days, and the final report is expected to be submitted on Thursday, August 21, 2025.
