Vice-presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, has expressed optimism that his party will win in Anambra State, in the 2023 election.

He stated that notwithstanding the fact that the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA is the ruling party in the state and also had a man who hails from the state, a former Chief Judge of the state, Prof Peter Umeadi, as well as, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Mr Peter Obi, who is also from the state, PDP would record overwhelming victory in the state.

Okowa who is the running mate to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar spoke through his representative at the 20th Ofala festival of the traditional ruler of the ancient Kingdom, Obi Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe, over the weekend, chairman of the United African Airline, Professor Obiora Okonkwu.

Okonkwu who is the leader of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council in Anambra State told reporters on the side line at the Ofala Festival “PDP is fully prepared for the campaign. Anambra has always been the home of PDP, and you may wish to check it. In the past, we have won by landslide in all the presidential elections, and almost all the time, we have won the majority of the national assembly election, and I do not think this will be different.
