The Rural Electrification Agency (REA) has formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Esodora Electronics Limited (Esodora) to boost energy access across the nation.

According to REA, the collaboration recognises Esodora as one of Nigeria’s emerging Renewable Energy Service Companies (RESCOs). It underscores REA’s commitment to fostering public-private partnerships that expand energy access in unserved and underserved communities.

“We are proud to partner with Esodora in this transformative effort. Their contributions to distributed solar deployment complement REA’s mandate to unlock sustainable energy solutions across the country,” said a top REA official.

The two organisations said the MOU formalised key areas of collaboration, including accelerating renewable project development in rural regions, stimulating private sector investment through technical support and strategic alignment, scaling up clean energy initiatives in line with Nigeria’s SDG7 targets, and strengthening local energy ecosystems through innovation and strategic capacity building.

“This alliance validates our commitment to powering the future of Nigeria — sustainably and inclusively,” stated managing director, Esodora Electronics Limited, Ifeanyi Egwu.
