Ajanaku made the statement while receiving members of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ondo State Council, led by their Chairman, Comrade Tosin Ajuwon, in his office at Alagbaka, Akure.

Ajanaku assured journalists in the state that ethical journalism would thrive under his watch as the Commissioner for Information and Orientation.

According to him, “Do your job without fear. Ask questions, criticise constructively, and report responsibly.”

Ajanaku assured the current administration would prioritise journalists’ welfare and professional growth in the state.

Also, the Ministry’s Administrative Secretary, Mr. Lanre Akarakiri, expressed gratitude to the correspondents for their continued support and assured them of better working conditions and improved collaboration with the ministry.

Earlier, the chairman of the Chapel, Comrade Tosin Ajuwon, described the Correspondents’ Chapel as the “engine room” of the NUJ in the state, with over 28 national media organisations. He assured the commissioner of the chapel members’ readiness to support the present administration.
