Kwara Govt Tackles Salary, Pension Concerns

The Kwara State government has reiterated its commitment to the welfare of civil servants across the state, assuring that issues relating to salary and pension payment delays are being looked into.
The commissioner for Communications, Hon. Bola Olukoju, gave the assurance during her working visit to Irepodun local government secretariat in Omu-Aran.

She explained that the visit was in line with the directive that all executive cabinet members should monitor and assist with the collation and resolution of complaints affecting salary and pension payments in their respective local government areas.

Olukoju, alongside her team, played an active role in supporting the government’s efforts to resolve salary discrepancies and data irregularities, while also engaging directly with affected staff to ensure a seamless and transparent process.

She restated Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq administration’s unwavering commitment to the timely payments of salaries and the overall welfare of government workers in the state.

“This exercise reflects the government’s hands-on approach to resolving issues that affect our workforce. We understand the concerns of the affected, and we are doing everything possible to ensure these matters are resolved without further delay,” she added.

Earlier, the chairman of Irepodun local government area, Hon. Abdulazeez Yakubu, had thanked Governor AbdulRazaq for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of civil servants across the state.
