Despite being one of the arrowheads of Labour Party (LP), the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) president Comrade Ayuba Wabba has directed civil servants in Kebi State to vote for the APC governorship candidate, Dr Nasir Idris Kauran-Gwandu, in next year’s election.

Wabba gave the order yesterday in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital in an address he delivered at the opening of a two-day Central Working Committee and National Executive Council (CWC/NEC) meeting of the union. He said the directive was informed by the vast contributions of the candidate to unionism from his state to national level.

Wabba said, “The purpose of converging in Kebbi State is to express our gratitude to Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu for choosing one of us, Dr Nasir Idris, as the APC governorship candidate in the forthcoming general elections and also indicate our support and solidarity with his candidacy which would certainly be a blessing to trade unions in Kebbi State and the nation.”

“We also commend the Kebbi State government for accepting to hold our CWC/NEC meeting in Birnin Kebbi which is a peaceful and secured environment,” he added. Wabba assured Idris that he would win the Kebbi State number one seat.
