National youth leader of the All Progressives Congress(APC) Dayo Israel has declared that young people in the party were ready for the 2027 general elections and would work hard for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and other candidates of the party.

Israel said, APC youth wing is not intimidated by young supporters of the opposition, including those of the African Democratic Congress(ADC) and Labour Party(LP) who brandishes ‘Obidient Movement.’
He stated this in Abuja on Wednesday while interacting with journalists at the Nest Resource Centre, Youth House set up to galvanise support for President Tinubu and APC in the 2027 polls.

The centre which will be used for data gathering, training, skill development and empowerment of youths, consists of membership enrichment team, students wing, training wing, various training halls, studio, sports center, podcast room, data room among others.

Israel said: “the reality is that there’s no institution that is rising as fast as the APC national youth wing. Where you are sitting now today, is an example. We are prepared. The youth of our party are now ready to take things on. What we have here is equivalent to some political party’s national secretariat. It shows the importance of the youth wing of the APC, how we want to be ready for 2027 election.

“We’re not scared of anybody. We say to them, bring it on. We will show you that our president has done so much that we will now begin to project and communicate in the way the youth understand to ensure that the Nigerian youth can appreciate the efforts and the work of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
So we’re not intimidated by anybody. We are here to actually intimidate them and show them that APC youth wing, we stand gidi-gbah!”

He said, having realised that APC youths have a lot of work to do to increase the appeal of their party to the younger generation, they have to set up the Youth Resource Centre to engage the younger generation, widely through things that of interest to them.

“From our programmes on campuses, our various events, our activities, and things that would have direct impact to complement the effort of the president. You would agree that things like the student loan, for example, is helping to alleviate educational poverty for some families. We’ve also realised that a lot of people have not harnessed that opportunity and that platform.

“We’re going to be also here, through our media department, pushing the agenda and the activities of the administration.

In particular, the youth-centred, the youth-orientated ones and not just pushing it through the media, but also using our grassroots structure. Don’t forget that the youth wing has a structure of the polling unit level.

“…We’ll continue to engage policymakers who will let them understand what the people are concerned about, what they’re looking for, what they need to improve on in the administration. People are saying, no, some ministers are not doing well, or some of these are not doing that.

“We as the youth are also taking responsibility and standing up to bridge that gap, to begin to engage those policymakers, let them understand that the president cannot do everything, it is the appointees that must rise to the occasion. We have to find a way because we have a duty to support the president who has appointed a lot of us into positions, appointed a lot of us into government, given a lot of us roles in the administration,” he added.
