The governor said at the flag-off ceremony that the initiative aligns with his administration’s 9-Point SMART Agenda and builds on the success of the first phase, which supported 8,590 beneficiaries with ₦1.5 billion. The second phase will see an investment of ₦2.5 billion.

“For the first time, we have introduced a nano category alongside micro and small enterprises, we have also increased the maximum grant for small enterprises from ₦300,000 to ₦500,000, while nano entrepreneurs will now receive ₦100,000 each.”

He urged beneficiaries to use the funds wisely to grow their businesses and contribute to job creation in Sokoto State, adding that every great business begins with small steps, and its success lies in the careful management and wise use of resources.

The governor commended development partners, including the World Bank, Bank of Industry, Federal and State CARES Units, Hotline Consult, and other stakeholders, for their support.
