Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who are currently holding a strategic meeting in Gusau, Zamfara State, have entered into a closed-door session on Saturday.

The PDP governors had arrived in Gusau, the State capital on Friday evening and where hosted to a dinner by their colleague and host, Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State, ahead of their ‘strategic meeting’ scheduled for Saturday morning.

A statement by the spokesperson for the Zamfara State governor, Sulaiman Bala Idris, on Friday, disclosed that the PDP Governors were to meet to discuss key political strategies as they navigate the current political landscape.

“This meeting will provide party leaders with the opportunity to discuss pressing political issues, plan for party unity, and collaborate on developmental initiatives within their respective states.

“Additionally, the governors will address key concerns in preparation for the national convention organised by the National Executive Committee (NEC) in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, on November 15 and 16, 2025,” Idris stated.
