Wife of the member representing Ikwo/Ezza South federal constituency, Mrs. Mary Chinedu Ogah, has embarked on free medical outreach for rural women in the constituency to ensure early diagnosis of diseases in the area.

Mrs. Ogah also distributed food items worth millions of naira to women to alleviate their suffering and renew their hope for a better Nigeria under President Bola Tinubu.

In an address during the outreach and distribution, Mrs. Ogah said that the event was part of the climax of the 2025 Women August Meeting of the constituency.

The programme, held at Blessed Martin’s International School of Science and Technology, Ohatekwe Amagu, Ikwo local government area, witnessed a large turnout of aged and vulnerable women, including widows from the 31 wards of the federal constituency.

She urged mothers and married women to promote peace, love, and unity in their families, communities, and states through strict faithfulness to their spouses, adding that bickering, fighting, and other negative acts exhibited by women jeopardize the lives of men in society.

Mrs. Ogah called for peaceful collaboration between husbands and wives to curb domestic violence. She stressed that women are the pillars of every family and must always give their best.

The wife of the state governor, Mrs. Nwifuru said that her pet project will continue to partner with different stakeholders in the state to enhance the living standard of the women in the society.
