A new entrant in Nigeria’s thriving food‑tech sector, Naijasoup.com, has made its official debut, reiterating an ambitious vision rooted in food safety, operational efficiency, a massive expansion drive and national economic upliftment.

Speaking at the event in Lagos, Entrepreneur/founder of the Nigeria Chamber of Commerce, USA (NICOCUSA), Gregory Ihenacho presented Naijasoup.com as more than a business, as it’s an economic intervention aimed at reducing unemployment, attracting direct foreign investment, and promoting Nigeria’s rich culinary diversity.

He emphasised the app’s extensive operating base, noting that ‘we already have restaurants in every corner of the country, allowing even someone in Taraba or Yobe to order their native delicacies, and they’ll be delivered fresh.’

While describing the platform as a national project devoid of bias in any region. “
‘Naijasoup is not about one tribe or one region. Whether you’re Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, or from any minority group, your food, your culture, it’s all included.”

He further buttressed Naijasoup.com’s role in bolstering foreign direct investment “We’re not looking for those who say they want to invest in Nigeria but expect locals to put in the money. What we’re talking about is capital flowing into Nigeria from abroad.’
According to him, investor interest is strong, anchored in an organisational structure designed to prioritise inward capital and domestic economic returns. Ihenacho highlighted the consumer‑facing features, the app’s user-friendly design and robust customer support, while comparing it to everyday digital platforms.
‘Once they download the app and open an account, they’ll figure it out. And we’ll be there to support them,’ he added.

The founder stressed that back-of-house restaurant staff deliver logistics teams and tech support units, and the platform employs Nigerians and generates jobs nationwide, reinforcing it as a national project.

In her remarks, CEO of Naijasoup.com, Adaeze Ihenacho, outlined the company’s immediate scale and multi-year ambitions. She asserted that the launch is backed by 5,000 people on board and over 250 staff across 36 states in Nigeria, showing that it is an inclusive engine for employment, cultural connection, and continental expansion.

“Over the next two to three years, the platform will be available to Android and iPhone users via the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store. We aim to extend our reach into other African countries while empowering local vendors, riders, and boosting the broader economy through job creation and enhanced convenience. As we are prioritising competitive prices to our collaborators and consumers,” she said.
