Evicted Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Gigi Jasmine has spoken out on her highly emotional feelings in the house.
The housemate who was evicted last Sunday with Victory in the week five ongoing reality show, spoke to select journalists on Wednesday reflecting on her experiences.
Gigi Jasmine, when asked if her frequent shedding of tears in the house was a strategy, she stated that they were genuine as part of her personality and not fake.
“That was 100% me. I didn’t fake anything. I’m human, I’m sensitive, and when I felt like crying, I cried. It wasn’t about strategy. The cameras just captured the real me,” she explained.
She also identified one of the housemates, Faith as the most strategic and performative housemate. “He’d sometimes pick on a situation and keep pressing it, even when I wanted him to stop, he’d continue because he knew the effect it had. He’s definitely intentional with his every move,” she said.
Reflecting on her time in the house, Gigi admitted that she gave too much of herself but now realised her worth.
“I discovered I give too much of myself… but I’ve also realised my value; I deserve the same energy I give out. And funny enough, I also discovered I’m fast at solving puzzles!” she laughed.
The 31-year-old pointed out that her toughest moments in the Big Brother House was the wager presentations and eviction Sundays.
“The pressure was intense. And of course, eviction nights, sitting there all dressed up, waiting for Ebuka to call names, it’s scary,” she recalled.
Despite the eviction, Gigi emphasised her friendship with Victory remains intact. “Victory is my guy. We had our differences inside, but he’s one person I genuinely connected with. That doesn’t change,” she said.
Gigi whose real name is Nicole Simon-Ogan ended with heartfelt words for her fans, “Thank you, guys, for standing by me. I love you. The journey continues.”
