Zamfara Stakeholders Meet On Children’s Care

Zamfara State stakeholders across the relevant Ministries, Departments, Agencies, religious and traditional leaders, civil society organisations, security agencies and media practitioners held a two day review and validation exercise to validate the state’s guidelines for the alternative care of children document in the state.

This is contained in a statement by the information officer in the Ministry of Women Affairs, Suleman Aliyu Gusau, which said the exercise held in Gusau was organised by the National Child Protection Network with the support of SOS Children’s Village, UNICEF and Ministry for Women affairs and Social Development.

The statement said during the review exercise, the commissioner for women affairs and social development, Dr. Aisha M.Z, expressed state government’s commitment to partner with any non-governmental organisation, cooperate organisation or individual willing to bring positive development to the state.
