Former Nigerian international Victor Ezeji has attributed Kelechi Nwakali’s struggles in football to a lack of discipline. Nwakali, who shone for the Golden Eaglets at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup, has yet to realise his dream of playing at the highest level.

In an interview with Brila FM, Ezeji expressed concern over Nwakali’s attitude, stating, “This is the second time I remember him having this particular incident. It all boils down to discipline. We are easily carried away by fame. While I’ve yet to see anyone play as a number 10 like Nwakali, his attitude remains his biggest problem.”

Ezeji elaborated, “Fame is good, but learning to manage it is crucial. You must communicate with your team. When players return home, they often forget their responsibilities amid the allure of celebrity.”
