Former Sokoto State governor and Senator representing Sokoto South in the Senate, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has said that President Bola Tinubu now appeared different from the leader he (Tambuwal) once knew when they collaborated in the past.

Speaking on Channels TV’s ‘Politics Today’ on Friday night, Tambuwal reflected on his time in the All Progressives Congress (APC) and explained why he chose to leave the party in 2018.

“He is appearing to be different if what I used to know of him in the past when we collaborated,” Tambuwal said when asked about his experience working with Tinubu.

Tambuwal added that by 2018, he had lost faith in the APC’s direction and concluded that the party was not offering solutions to Nigeria’s challenges.

“I was in the same party with them before, but I left. I saw the way APC was driving Nigeria to where it is today as far back as in 2018, and I left in August 2018,” Tambuwal explained.
