Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman, has reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to the development and transformation of the lives of people at the grassroots.

Usman, who received members of the Ward Development Project Committee led by its chairman, Muhammed Falalu Bako, in  Minna yesterday, expressed satisfaction with the work carried out by the committee.

He said the Ward Development Project was a strategic initiative of the administration of  Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago aimed at delivering sustainable development across the 274 wards in the 25 local government areas of the state.

He stated that the project represented a direct response to the yearnings and aspirations of the people and demonstrated government’s determination to entrench inclusiveness in governance.

While commending the committee for the diligence and transparency displayed in the discharge of its responsibility, the SSG assured that the government would provide the necessary support to ensure the timely and effective implementation of identified projects.
