Hope4OurYouth Foundation Honours Talented Imo Youths

A humanitarian group, Hope4OurYouth Foundation, has presented meritorous awards of merit to industrious youths from Owerri West local government area of Imo State, who had distinguished themselves in talents, skills, ideas, innovation, creativity and cognition.

The award ceremony tagged “Owerri West Youth Excellence Awards 2025”, was held yesterday at the council headquarters of Owerri West LGA, at Umuguma.

During the award presentation to the youths, founder of Hope4OurYouth Foundation, Pastor Phils Esorochukwu Obi, said the honour was to encourage the youths on excellence, to enable them harness their skills, talents, innovation, creativity and cognition to become more productive to have prosperous and pleasurable future.

The founder, who was represented by patron of the foundation, Obi Chukwueze, said that the awards were meritorious as awardees had used their skills, talents, creativity, ideas and cognition to impact the society and humanity greatly.

According to Obi, H4OYF is committed to promote artistic, athletic, intellectual talents, including technology innovation among the youth to help them move from vices to values, adding that H4OYF prioritises humanitarian services to lift the youth positively.

He said, “Hope4OurYouth Foundation today recognised some youths who are skilled, talented, creative, innovative and cognitive to encourage them to maximise these abilities to strengthen development, goodness and prosperous living.

And we are interested to partner with the government to intensify efforts in assisting humanity especially the youth to positivity.”

He urged the awardees to continue to embrace excellence in their endeavours and called on other young people to shun any act that could derail them from putting their talents and skills to meaningful activities.

Some of the awardees, the Divisional Police Officer of Owerri West Division, SP Nnachetam Chukwudi, and the NMC/SDG Mathematics Queen for 2022, Oganno Rachael Chinenye, and Nwanya Patrick Udochukwu (who emerged best awardee) in their separate remarks, thanked the organisers for the award and advised youths to pursue their goals with determination, shun crime/illicit activities such as drug abuse, peddling, human trafficking and harlotry in order to succeed.

The event was attended by several political, religious, and traditional rulers from Owerri West local government area which included Hon. Victor Osuigwe, the local government Chairman who urged H4OYF founder to keep elevating the youth to success.
