Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has disbursed N32.142 million to 750 students of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Gombe.

The release of the loan to the beneficiaries was disclosed on the agency’s X (formerly Twitter) handle at the weekend.

The payment, which was released in August, forms part of the NELFUND’s ongoing student-loan disbursement aimed at easing access to tertiary education by covering tuition and upkeep costs for eligible undergraduates.

On the post on Saturday, NELFUND noted that the school had confirmed the receipt of the funds, in an acknowledgement letter dated September 2, 2025, signed by Dr Mohammed Guzali Abdulhamid, the deputy provost of the college.

The latest payment is part of a wider rollout of funds to multiple institutions across the country as NELFUND implements the student-loan scheme created to expand access to higher education. In recent months, the agency has announced large-scale disbursements to universities and colleges as it scales up operations.

NELFUND, established to administer interest-free student loans and related upkeep disbursements, has continued to publish disbursement dashboards and updates on social media to improve transparency and keep beneficiaries informed. It encourages eligible students who have not yet completed their applications or updated their details to do so through the official portal.

The N32.14 million allocation to FCE (Technical), Gombe, will be paid to the beneficiaries through the college’s authorised channels and is expected to cover a mix of tuition and upkeep entitlements for the current academic session.
